Consuelo Mack has a long and distinguished career in business journalism. In 2005 she struck out on her own to launch her dream program, a weekly half-hour program on public television devoted to helping Americans build and protect their wealth over the long-term.
Now in its fifth season, WealthTrack’s coverage has grown from four stations at its creation to 123 markets today, including 19 of the top 20, covering 77% of the country. It can be seen in New York on WLIW, channel 21 on Friday evenings at 7:30, and Saturday mornings at 8:00 on WNET, channel 13.
Five years in, WealthTrack remains the only program on television devoted to long-term diversified investing, a reason the program has been dubbed the “Cramer antidote” in the press and Money Magazine named Mack the “The Best Money TV Host.” WealthTrack has also attracted a roster of television exclusives including Wall Street’s perennially top ranked economist, Ed Hyman, prescient fund manager Jeremy Grantham, global institutional money management consultant Charley Ellis and NYU economics professor Mark Gertler.
Before developing WealthTrack Mack spent over a decade at The Wall Street Journal as the Anchor and Managing Editor of its weekly syndicated business program, "The Wall Street Journal Report". During her tenure it won the Overseas Press Club award, the Gracie award and was nominated for a News and Documentary Emmy award for excellence in background and analysis. Mack's international experience includes being the Anchor and Editor of "The Asian Wall Street Journal Report", a weekly business program syndicated throughout Asia.
Prior to her television career, Mack worked for several prominent research and money management firms including Mitchell Hutchins and Merrill Lynch. She is a member of the Economic Club of New York, the Council on Foreign Relations and The Women's Forum and a board member of the YMCA of Greater New York. Mack graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, History and Political Science.
